WHAT YOU'LL DO HERE

  • Assist in the daily management, deployment and maintenance of the Call Box voice, systems, and network infrastructure
  • Monitor production systems
  • Maintain our internal monitoring tools
  • Shadow, learn from, and assist senior engineers with more complex deployment and maintenance tasks
  • Conduct routine management tasks of production system and network infrastructure

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES

  • Functional experience deploying and configuring Linux-based servers (without a GUI)
  • Experience deploying and configuring Microsoft Windows based server operating systems and related applications
  • An understanding of basic networking concepts (OSI model, VLAN's, routing, switching, firewalling)
  • The ability to logically deduce relevant and accurate next-steps as it relates to troubleshooting
  • A basic understanding of IP Telephony and the PSTN

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

  • Higher level understanding of Cisco routing / switching / firewalling
  • Any experience working with Tomcat, ColdFusion, Nginx, or Apache
  • The ability to perform and understand packet captures and use them to identify application or network flow issues
  • Advanced Linux systems administration skills
  • Automation and bulk systems management experience (Chef, CFEngine, SALT Stack, Puppet, etc)
  • Virtualization experience (ESXi, vCenter, Xen, KVM, Hyper-V)
  • Any experience with SIP (tracing, flow, structure, standards) as well as legacy PSTN technologies (Channelized PRI, POTS, etc)
